The Longest Undefeated Streak in Australian Professional Sport 'Soccer' Coach - Ange Postegolou Team - Brisbane Roar

Date of Record: 2012

Football coach Ange Postecoglou led his club, Brisbane Roar, to the longest undefeated streak in Australian professional sport when the Queenslanders amassed an impressive 36 matches without a loss, creating an Australian record.

The streak began with a 1-1 draw against Adelaide United in Round 7 of the Hyundai A-League season on September 18, 2010, and continued until December 4, 2011, when the Roar suffered its first loss in 36 matches at the hands of Sydney FC in Round 9 of the 2011/12 campaign.

The amazing streak also included a thrilling grand final win on penalties against Central Coast Mariners. Not surprisingly, Brisbane Roar also took home the Premiers' Plate in the 2010/11 season, the most successful in its history.
